This project was created for the course Introduction to Video Game Making. The goal was to create a small narrative game combining two genres. We chose exploration and puzzle. The game "Subject 01" was made with Unity and plays in first-person perspective.
The game starts with the player waking up in a freezer. You have no memory of how you got there. As the player explores the abandoned building, they retrieve memories by solving puzzles. Each memory gives more clues about what happened to the character.
The game is played from a first-person view. The player cannot jump or use weapons. The focus is on exploring the building and solving puzzles. Two puzzles are hidden in different parts of the building. When a puzzle is solved, the player unlocks a memory scene. During the game, the player finds tools that help unlock new areas. At the end, the player uses a map they created during one of the memories to escape the building.
