emails i can't send

A minigame inspired by Sabrina Carpenter's album "emails i can't send"

By Nikki Rademaker

Overview

This minigame was created for the course Creative Programming. The assignment was to use mouse and keyboard input to move elements around the screen and build a sketch using classes. I chose to make a simple game inspired by the album "emails i can't send" by Sabrina Carpenter.

Design and Development

The game is made in Processing. The laptop and envelopes are images, and each yellow envelope has a song title from the album. All the images were drawn by me in Procreate.

How it Works

You play as a laptop. The goal is to stop the wrong emails from being sent. Yellow envelopes should be caught. Red envelopes should be shot before they hit the ground. Catching or missing a red envelope ends the game. It’s okay if you accidentally shoot a yellow one. You move using the arrow keys or A and D, and shoot by clicking the mouse.
